Inlet Block Manifold shim plate installs directly over the manifold, preventing the valve stems from backing out after installation in the unit. This plate also prevents unwanted removal or accedental removal or service of stems during use. If you are replacing the manifold on your unit we strongly suggest installing this as well for safety reasons.
