Two rail systems available – PVC or stainless steel, depending on your specifications and code requirements. Designed for UPS, switchgear, telecommunication, and utility battery cabinets and relay racks. Ideal for wet lead-acid batteries, VRLA batteries, battery cabinets and relay racks. Product Features
- Pillows and socks are made from heavy duty, white polypropylene fabric
- The fabric absorbs acid quickly, reducing uncontrolled run-off; at the same time, it is dense with minimal dusting
- Tested against the federal standard FMVSS 302, 49 CFR Ch V (10-1-03 Edition, page 761), the fabric is self-extinguishing
- The acid indicator in pillows and socks will "show" pink or red indicating the presence of battery acid
- A label sewn on each pillow and sock lists cautionary and performance information, as well as part number and date of manufacture
- Use with containment system or separately for reliable acid capture and neutralization
- Ideal to use as dam to contain acid spill or surround a leaking battery
- Each sock or pillow absorbs and neutralizes a minimum of 4 quarts (3.8 liters) of battery acid
- A granular absorbent material quickly absorbs and neutralizes a minimum of 4 quarts (3.8 liters) of battery acid (sulfuric acid, also known as battery electrolyte)
