SB connectors come in four different amperage ratings (50, 120, 175 and 350) and six colors (Gray, Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Green). The contacts come in two different types: original crimp style and Fusion® solder style.
SB connectors are color coded to allow differentiation between voltage capacities in electrical circuits that are frequently disconnected--for charging or service purposes. Quick Cable offers SB connectors as components and kits so you can order what you need. We also have accessories to aid in releasing connectors, to lock and secure connections and to protect the contacts when disconnected. Red, gray and blue housings – what’s the difference?
Housings are color-keyed. This means gray housings will only plug into gray housings, not red or blue housings. The color key feature makes it possible for you to differentiate voltages of your electrical circuits. The industry color code guidelines are listed below:
NOTE: Connectors will only connect to another connector with the same amp ratings as well (example: a gray 50 amp connector will only plug into another grey 50 amp connector) ( ** Identifies colors that must be Special Ordered.)
