The long body of these cut-off tools extends their reach beyond 11" to fit into recesses and between two surfaces. They position cut-off wheels on the side of the tool with the cutting edge at a right angle to the body to cut through thin metal, long workpieces, and around larger pipes. Extended-reach cut-off tools require a two-handed grip with one hand at the base of the body and the other hand closer to the wheel.
