Black and Decker PURE DC output current provides a more efficient, stable charge by regulating both voltage and amperage through each stage of the charging process, depending on the battery’s state of charge. This results in higher quality charge without overcharging or overheating of the battery while extending its serviceable life. Conventional chargers start out at their maximum rated current and steadily decline. Some models never shut off and can even “cook” a battery, resulting in excessive high temperature “boiling”, higher temperature which may lead to exposed plates and shorten the life of the battery.
Black and Decker Smart Battery Chargers’ PURE DC output current provides a more high efficient charge. The crude form, chopped, pulsating DC current from conventional chargers produces a less efficient charge. Low AC line voltage and/or extension cord use can cause conventional chargers to produce a lower charging current that falls below rated specifications. Under these same conditions Vector’s Smart Battery Chargers’ output remains unaffected and charging current maintains itself at the full selected rate.
