The Schumacher SE-6030 heavy-duty charter is designed for big fleet operations and industrial use. Ideal for repair shops that need a lot of power and the ability to test batteries and alternators. Two rapid charge settings. Very high-output engine start assist batteries in cranking most engines under severe weather conditions. For 6 and 12 volt batteries. Fan cooled.
Heavy-Duty Transformer for Extra Power and Long LifeThe industrial-sized, heavy-duty transformer in the Schumacher SE-6030 brings the power you need for fleet charging applications. An easy-to-read, color-coded amperage meter displays the current charge rate. Choose the amperage you need for your next charge from an easy-to-use rotary switch:
Timer and Hold PositionChose the 'hold' position for continuous charging or set the timer up to 2.25 hours. To properly set the timer you must know the size of the battery in ampere hours or reserve capacity in minutes and the state of charge.
Integrated AmmeterThe ammeter indicates the amount of current measured in amperes that is being drawn by the battery. For example, In the 50 amp charge rate a typical discharged battery will initially draw approximately 50 amps. As the battery continues to charge, current will taper to 15 to 20 amps at full charge. The Start area of the meter indicates a high rate of current being drawn from the charger. When cranking an engine, the starter motor draws upwards to 200-300 amps. The meter needle will be at the extreme right side of the start area. Sometimes a battery for the first few minutes of it’s charge will draw more than 40/60 amps, in this case the needle may be within but not to the extreme right side of the start area.
Heavy DutyDesigned for rough conditions the SE-6030 is enclosed by a durable powder-coated steel case. Connect to the case are a 6-foot power cord and output cables with heavy-duty clamps, giving you a total of 12 feet of reach.
