The #597IR is equipped for advanced automotive diagnostics. #597 is a CAT III 1000 Volt rated meter, therefore safe to use on Hybrids. It includes our model EST-100 Infrared Thermometer Adapter, for measuring surface temps up to 1022°F or 550°C. The Peak Min/Max function measures transient voltages as fast as 1 Millisecond. #597 also measures the ON-TIME (pulse width) of fuel injectors and features a desirable 20 Amp test range. This unit is even waterproof to IP67 standards - that’s right, if you drop it into water, it floats! The #597 includes IR Thermometer, test leads, Inductive RPM pick-up, temperature probe, 9 volt battery, instructions manual and hard storage case. Inductive RPM pick-up features a five position, adjustable sensitivity switch.
