The Schumacher PSW-70300A high performance charger operates as fully automatic or manually. Charges 12-volt battery systems.

Charge Rates
Use the charge rate selector switch to select the charge rate or engine starting setting you require:

• 300 Amp Engine Start - Provides 300 amps for cranking an engine with a weak or run down battery.
• 20/40 Amp Fast and 70 Amp Rapid charge for charging automotive, marine and deep-cycle 12-volt batteries.
• 4 Amp Slow charge rate intended for charging small batteries such as those commonly used in garden tractors, snow mobiles and motorcycles.

Desulfation Mode
If the battery is left discharged for an extended period of time, it could become sulfated and not accept a normal charge. If the charger detects a sulfated battery, the charger will switch to a special mode of operation designed for such batteries. If successful, normal charging will resume after the battery is desulfated.

Float-Mode (Maintain Mode)
When the battery is charged the unit will enter Float-Mode Monitoring.In this mode, the charger keeps the battery fully charged by delivering a small current when necessary. If the battery voltage drops below a preset level, the charger will go back into Charge Mode until the battery voltage returns to the full charge level, at which point the charger will return to Maintain Mode.
