Long and slender, will reach into small recesses where valve springs and retaining washers are located. Arms are hinged at one end so they are practically parallel at the other end at all points. Jaws are adjustable in width and have edges so thin that they can be forced under and over ends of valve spring to compress it for removal. Operating screw makes ratchets and locks unnecessary. Will work on all Briggs and Stratton engines. Maximum opening 2 3/8”.
