The 256100 SKYE Recycling Filter Drier has been specifically formulated using XH9 drier desiccant to trap acid and particulates and is formulated to remove water from the refrigerant. DO NOT accept look alike or knock off filters. You must change the filter-drier to assure adequate moisture and contaminant removal. Typically, you can recycle up to 150 pounds of R-134a between filter changes.
Applies to Models: EP6
FILTER CHANGE ROUTINE
The maximum filter life is 30 hours. After each filter change, record the time elapsed on the hour meter (located on the control panel of the unit) in a log book. After 30 hours of elapsed recovery time, change the filter regardless of the moisture indicator color.
- Purge the system then turn the machine off and disconnect power.
- Locate the nut on the bottom of the filter (bottom right front corner of unit) and loosen the filter with a wrench.
- Remove the filter by hand after loosening. Important: Be sure to remove the old filter seal from the filter fitting. An “o-ring” pick may be needed. (It may be necessary to remove the front fan panel to access the filter fitting until you become accustomed to the process).
- Install a new “o-ring” seal in the groove at the top of the filter connecting nut, screw the filter onto the filter fitting and “snug” it up with the wrench.
- Reinstall the fan panel if removed.
